Set a ZIP to sort local sources by distance

Methodology

How we decide what to show.

We identify the ingredient, meaningful form and exact product requirements before recommending sources when those distinctions matter.

Browse when a choice is not required

For a clear generic ingredient, you can browse vendors first and inspect the forms and listings our evidence supports. That exploration does not select a form for a recipe.

Keep different evidence scopes separate

A local store listing, a chain-wide catalog, an online source and manufacturer product information are different kinds of evidence. A chain catalog does not prove a specific branch has the item, and a product page does not establish somewhere local to buy it.

Preserve uncertainty

Our sourcing information is dated. “Listed” does not mean “confirmed on shelf,” seasonal expectation does not mean available today, and a source we did not find is not proof that no source exists.

Keep form and product fit strict

When a requested form or exact product matters, we do not substitute another form or sibling product merely because it is easier to find.

Review before changing the guide

Search activity is not ingredient or stock evidence. Send corrections or new-source suggestions to contact@pantryward.com. The operator reviews them before they change sourcing information. Sending a suggestion does not mean it has been accepted.
