About this beta

Pantryward Beta-0 is an early, limited release. It covers 809 researched ingredients, so many ingredients are not yet covered, and a missing result is not proof that none exists. Listings are dated leads to check, not live stock. Location works by ZIP code only; address lookup is off. Distances are approximate straight-line estimates. Product learning is off and deferred: nothing about your searches, recipes or clicks is saved to a learning ledger, and raw, journal and review capture are off too. Temporary recipes, choices and your ZIP are held in the server's memory against an opaque session cookie. A session is set to expire 2 hours after it starts. Expiry is applied when the service next handles a request, so memory is not promised to be erased at the moment of expiry, and a restart or a capacity limit can end a session sooner; download or print your plan if you want to keep it. Render hosts this service and may process technical request and security information. Hosting-provider logging details are not yet confirmed; the privacy page says what is known. Please do not enter sensitive personal information.

Hosting

This site runs as one application process hosted by Render.

The network-edge provider for this configuration has not yet been confirmed.

Service-log retention has not yet been confirmed for this configuration. The hosting provider sets it according to the service plan; we do not promise a retention period before that is checked.

Like any hosted website, the provider's network edge necessarily processes connection metadata — such as your IP address, browser details, the time of a request and the page address requested — in order to deliver pages. What Render keeps, and for how long, is set by Render and not by this application; we do not claim that it keeps nothing.

This application does not write an access log and does not log request bodies, cookies or authorization values. Search and recipe page addresses carry only random tickets, never your search or recipe text.

Learning state: OFF

Structured learning is off. Nothing about your searches, recipes or clicks is saved to a learning ledger.

Searches

Search and dish/use text is sent in the body of a form request, not in the page address, and is answered from this site's own database. It is not sent to any other service. No name, email, account or contact detail is asked for.

Recipes and location are held in memory only

A pasted recipe, your recipe list and your chosen location area are held only in this server process's memory, against a random cookie, for up to 2 hours. They are never written to a database or a log. A restart or redeploy can discard them at any time; an expired recipe returns you to the start. Bounded memory limits can also discard older state before that lifetime ends. Read-only visits without a session cookie do not create a session. The page address carries only a random ticket, never recipe text.

A ZIP code is looked up against a Census table inside this application; nothing is sent.

Address lookup is off on this site, so no address is sent anywhere.

No analytics or advertising

No analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking vendor is used, and no third-party script, font or pixel is loaded. Links out to shops carry no referrer.

This site does not track you across other sites, so it does not respond differently to Do Not Track signals.

Pantryward is a general-audience cooking guide and is not directed to children under 13.

Emailing Pantryward

You can email contact@pantryward.com with questions, corrections or new-source suggestions. Emails are forwarded to a dedicated Gmail inbox, where Google processes the correspondence. Pantryward's operator reads these messages. There is no fixed deletion schedule: messages may be kept indefinitely and manually deleted over time. You can contact us to request deletion of correspondence; we will review that request, including any applicable obligations. These messages are not used for marketing or added to a mailing list.

Email is optional; you can search and use recipes without it. A suggestion is reviewed before it changes the guide; sending it does not mean it has been accepted.

Catalog and community submissions

If you submit a form, Pantryward stores the message, optional reply email, source details and any catalog file in a private review store for 30 days. Expired queue items are removed at startup and before new submissions, reviewer listings, exports, and file downloads. A receipt request checks only its own record and removes it if expired; it does not run full-queue cleanup. If the service is idle after expiry, files may remain on private storage until a later cleanup. Render creates daily persistent-disk snapshots and keeps each for seven days. A snapshot containing an expired submission may remain restorable for up to seven days after its active copy is purged. Only the Owner can access items through a separate reviewer account. No external AI service receives submissions. They do not change directory records unless a human accepts a separately prepared data update.

Files are limited to UTF-8 CSV and macro-free XLSX, up to 5 MB. The application does not execute workbook content. Do not submit sensitive personal information.
